The Golden Bend district of Amsterdam is a very pretty area located near the
canals. Golden Bend was home to many wealthy Dutch shipbuilders,
traders, merchants and the political elite of the city.
Many of the large mansions in the Golden Bend area have been converted into offices
and multi-family dwellings. They provide, however, a glimpse of the
extreme wealth that
existed in Amsterdam Netherlands.
